The Maplewood Community Pool has jobs available for children ages 15 and older. 

Lifeguard certification

Interested in being a lifeguard but need your certification? Enroll in our lifeguard certification course at the pool!  

Candidates for the Red Cross lifeguarding program must be at least 15 years of age.   Through videos, group discussion and hands-on practice, you’ll learn patron rescue and surveillance skills, first aid and CPR/AED.  The lifeguard certification class will provide you with:

• 2 year First Aid and CPR/AED certifications
• 2 year Lifeguarding certification
• classes take place on weekday evenings in May and June

Re-certification

Already a lifeguard but need to get re-certified? Do not forget that if you wish to re-certify as a lifeguard, you must take your re-certification course before your current certification expires!​

Front Desk and Patio Staff

Applications are currently being accepted for front desk and patio staff.  Applicants must be at least 15 years of age.  Please contact the Recreation Office.
